How To Gain Self Confidence Using Accession Psychology

Accession psychology is the name given to overcoming a problem in a step by step manner. When trying to gain self-confidence, it can be counter productive if you try to do too much all at once.

The reason being is that when you try too much all at once – the chance for failure in one or more of those areas you tackle increases. And this failure can damage your chances of gaining confidence and if fact – compound the problem even further.

In this article I want to focus on this mindset of accession psychology. The reason being that it applies across a whole range of things you want to improve upon in your life and not just confidence.

So what does it involve?

To start the journey towards self-confidence and meeting your goals, here are the steps you need to take:

  1. Focus On The Basics: Set small goals, and avoid starting with elaborate or overly challenging ones. Get into the habit of achieving small goals first and celebrate each achievement. Start piling up your small successes one by one.

  2. Keep Managing Your Mind: Continue to manoeuvre away from negative thoughts and keep flying on positive thinking. Enjoy each success. However, there will be failures …and this is ok! Learn to handle failures in a constructive way.

  3. Accelerate Towards Success: When you have celebrated plenty of small successes, it’s time you start stretching towards setting bigger goals. Since bigger goals mean bigger challenges, make sure to extend your proven skills into new horizons. As you start achieving bigger goals, you will find yourself gaining confidence significantly more.

Journeying towards gaining self-confidence requires you to have a little faith in yourself. Just believe that you can succeed if you just put your mind into it. But if at first you don’t succeed, remember that you can always try again. There’s no limit in trying, but you are limiting yourself when you don’t try.

What do you get when you gain self confidence? Generally, there are two things: get hired or promoted (career-wise) and attract people (relationship-wise). Whether career-wise or relationship-wise, you spell success when you gain self confidence. And what’s best is that you have everything to gain and nothing to lose in everything you do when gaining self confidence.

Self confidence affects all areas of your life and how you face many situations in life. However, be it in the work place or in meeting and dating new people, self confidence is something a lot of people struggle with. But if you are determined, you can learn ways to triumph of confidence issues.
