Examine yourself, your attitude and the way you treated your ex when you were still together. If you think you caused the split up, then do your best to change your bad habits and attitudes.   • Don’t bug your ex: Guys do not like girls who are clingy, needy and obsessive. Distance yourself from him. Don't call, text or IM him. Do not “accidentally” bump into him in his places of hangout. Give him time alone.

  • Live a full life: Party with your friends. Go on a holiday. Take on a new hobby. Anything that keeps you occupied, as right now the temptation can be to feel sorry for yourself and stay indoors. The problem with this is that this kind of attitude is far from attractive. Occupying yourself is also a good way for you to keep your mind off your ex and from any urges of contacting him.

  • Take care of yourself: No matter how depressed you are, do not neglect your physical appearance. Instead, improve on your body by going to the gym. Get your nails done or a new hairdo. Give your best effort to always look attractive. An ex would expect you to be down after having been dumped but if you can show yourself to look good and be confident it will knock his ego. He’ll wonder if he has as much power over you as he thought and subconsciously start to wonder if he was right in dumping someone who is so together.
