Does He Like Me Signs

When we like somebody, we start looking for those “does he like me signs”. We long to have our feelings reciprocated by that one person and develop a romantic relationship with him.

However, we all know that it’s easier to assume than to know for sure. But the consequences can be very embarrassing. So, for your own sake, you need to be able to spot those positive signs and avoid assuming.

However, you mustn’t get tricked by things that don’t really tell for sure whether he likes you or not. And it’s always important to remember that one sign alone doesn’t usually tell all. It’s best to spot more signs for higher accuracy.

10 Signs That Shows He Likes You

You won’t know for sure that the guy likes you if you don’t directly ask him. And sometimes, even if you do, he may get shy and deny it. So here are ways to spot the signs that he likes you:

  1. Notice his eye contact: He will try to catch and hold your attention by looking at your eyes, if he likes you. But if he’s the shy type, he will look away quickly when your eyes meet. When a guy says or does something funny and his eyes flicker towards you for a moment while everyone is laughing, it means he wants to know whether he made you laugh too. If you have the chance to closely look at his eyes, observe for pupil dilation, which is a sign of interest.

  2. Examine his body language: A person who likes you rarely turns his back on you – literally. His body is generally inclined towards your direction and will face you most of the time. He also cares about what you have to say if he slouches his shoulders just to be at eye level to you. Watch out for his shoulders, pelvis, knees, and toes pointing in your direction - it means he feels something for you.

  3. Check for signs of nervousness: Nervousness can be indicated in the way he laughs, has sweating palms, fidgeting, deep breathing, or quickly looking away when you are watching him. These are good signs of attraction because he is nervous about the impression he may be making on you.

  4. Observe how he is with other girls: You are special to him if he doesn’t treat other girls or give as much attention to them in the same way he does with you. But also take note that other guys may flirt with other girls to see if you’ll get jealous. However, you can still tell the difference when you catch the guy stealing glances at you while he flirts with other girls or if he stops the flirting when you leave. It can be good to have a friend to observe for you.

  5. Observe his friends too: When friends know or have an idea that their friend likes someone, they will often tease him subtly or obviously when you’re around. This is to give you a hint that the guy likes you and for them to try to find out if you do too.

  6. Pay attention to teasing: If he is teasing you a lot, it could mean that he likes you, especially if he doesn’t tease other girls. He might even playfully punch or hit you on your arm. He doesn’t really intend to hurt you but he is doing it to flirt with you.

  7. Listen for compliments from him: If he immediately notices anything new with you, it’s a very good sign. He likes you because he’s paying more attention to you than other guys are. Guys don’t often notice the way girls dress or fix their hair differently and most of all mention it, if they’re not into you.

  8. Watch for signs of interest in things you do or like: For instance, if you find him suddenly going to the library frequently because you like to read books, it’s definitely a sign. Or he may suggest songs of artists or bands for you to listen when he finds out the genre of music you like.

  9. Be aware of touching: Subtle or “accidental’ touches can be signs of interest in you. For example, he might place his hand over yours casually when he laughs. But for "playboys" they do this to flirt with lots of girls. So, see if he does it only with you or is a common thing with him.

  10. Watch if he imitates you: When a person likes another person a lot, there is a tendency for him to unconsciously or consciously mimic the actions of that person.  For example, if you put your hand on the table, he will too. Or if you strum your fingers on top of your legs, he will do it too.
