Typical Physical Symptoms of Stress
Stress can be dealt with in various ways but recognizing it through its symptoms that show on the surface will help you deal with it early on.

Headaches: Tension headache is typical among people who are facing more and more stress daily. The pressure of getting a lot of things done in such a short space of time can be head-wrecking.

Frequent flu and colds: Having to deal frequently with too much stress lowers the body’s immune system causing the person to get sick. The person becomes easily susceptible to minor illnesses such as flu and colds.

Sleep disturbances: Most stressed individuals will often complain about not being able to sleep or suffering from insomnia.

Diarrhea or constipation: Stress can cause changes in a person’s digestive functions. Some people may find it hard to move bowels while others experience having loose watery stools when they get stressed out.

Muscle pains: Too much stress will cause tension in your body especially on the neck and back muscles. This will make the person feel exhausted and weary.

Trembling: The person is shaking and is easily startled. Stress can cause uneasiness to those who experience it. The person may be fidgeting and may stutter or have other speech difficulties when stressed.

Increased heart rate: One’s heart may seem to pound heavily; it feels like it’s going to explode at certain times when stress becomes overwhelming. This will also result in shallow breathing leaving the person gasping for breaths and eventually run short of oxygen.

High blood pressure: When in stress, the increased heart rate will cause the blood to circulate faster than normal causing a rapid increase in the blood pressure.
